Attend a workshop
Want to learn about haiku in a relaxed and informative workshop setting? Attend a free Zoom haiku workshop led by Michael Dylan Welch. Workshops are open to anyone anywhere (you don’t have to live in Sammamish, Washington). We’ll cover various “targets” to aim for in writing haiku, including seasonal reference and a two-part structure (it’s not just about counting syllables). We’ll also explore some of haiku’s history in Japan and North America. You’ll have an opportunity to write haiku, too, and discuss them with other attendees (if you want to). Watch for workshop dates and registration details to be announced here (all free).
